Lappland and nanomaterial modeling

I’ll take this as an open diary…. so, here I am, in Lappland, Levi – to be precise.

Out of my window it is just snow. Everything is covered by snow. It is all white and dark at the same time. Like a black&white photograph. But… it is not a photo, it is real, as much as me, as much as the reason why I’m above the polar circle.

And since this is a science blog, one should easily guess that all this has something to do with my work, as indeed is the case.  I’m at the “Towards Reality in Nanoscale Materials” conference to present my work on “Quantum spin transport in carbon chains”. So… now that you know, just come and see my talk!
